TIM CHAISSON LAUNCHES NEW ALBUM ‘LOST IN LIGHT’ – Out October 24

Produced by Bill Reynolds (Band Of Horses)

TIM RETURNS TO AUSTRALIA FOR NATIONAL TOUR DATES THIS
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER

Canadian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim Chaisson returns to Australia this November & December, in support of his new studio album ‘Lost In Light’, released on October 24. Tim will kick off his Australian tour with an appearance at Reunion Festival on 22 November, before heading south to play Gorgeous Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival and Festival of the Sun, along with a string of headline shows still to be announced.

Produced by Bill Reynolds (Band Of Horses), ‘Lost In Light’ is Tim’s multi-faceted folk-country-pop opus, with rootsy-pop corker and lead single ‘Crushed’ capturing Chaisson at his stylistic peak. Chaisson’s stylistic dexterity is showcased across twelve tracks, ranging from boot-stomping country to blues-tinged ballads, all the while staying true to his roots with an intermingling of guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo and Tim’s signature vocals.

"Crushed is a song about how falling in love can almost tear you apart - whether it's the wrong time or wrong person”, says Tim. “A part of you wants to run from it and a part of you can't get enough."

“I first fell in love with "The Healing" from Tim Chaisson’s previous album.  When he sent the new song demos over, I was fired up to make a new record.  Tim can sing and play his own songs but the thing that sets him apart is his songwriting.”
- Bill Reynolds (Band Of Horses) - Producer

2014 marks Tim’s sixth Australian visit, having previously hit the road with Tim Freedman ( The Whitlams), Ian Moss and Diesel, along with the Goo Goo Dolls, The Trews and Johnny Reid in North America.  He played three knock-out showcases at 2013’s SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, before covering Gordon Lightfoot at Ontario’s Mariposa Folk Festival under the approving gaze of Lightfoot himself.

Chaisson is no stranger to success, picking up nominations for Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year (‘The Healing’) and Fan’s Choice Entertainer of the Year at this year’s Canadian East Coast Music Awards (ECMA’s) and taking out the award for Best Roots Album at the 2013 ECMA’s.

Don’t miss the chance to experience this accomplished artist live, when he hits Australian shores this November & December.
