McAlister Kemp Release Explosive New Album "Harder To Tame" This Friday January 17!

When introducing Australia’s hottest duo McAlister Kemp to over 30,000 fans at the Country Thunder festival in Wisconsin USA last July, John Rich (Big & Rich) said, “These guys are BAD TO THE BONE.”

Big words from one of the boldest, richest and groundbreaking figures in global country music himself.

But when you hear McAlister Kemp’s new album ‘Harder To Tame’, released this Friday January 17, you will understand why Rich said just that.

Following the release of ‘Country Proud’ in March 2012, which featured it’s anthemic title track and earned McAlister Kemp their first ARIA #1 Country album, mainstream ARIA chart success, a CMC Music Award win plus ARIA, Golden Guitar and APRA nominations, Drew McAlister and Troy Kemp wanted to make the biggest, boldest and bravest album ever made by an Australian Country act.

And they have done just that. In fact, never has an album title been so appropriate.

“McAlister Kemp won’t die wondering if bigger is better on their third album,” says The Music’s Scott Fitzsimons.

To help create the album and facilitate their musical vision, McAlister Kemp enlisted the services of premiere Nashville producer Jeremy Stover – the mastermind behind Justin Moore’s recent Billboard #1 hit, ‘Point At You.’

Without the burden of radio format “boundaries” in the back of their minds, Stover was inspired to unleash his vision and big production values with a selection of the finest studio musicians on the planet - adding definition to the McAlister Kemp sound in creating this 10 track masterpiece…. all tied together with songs that touch on real issues and core blue collar values – the cornerstone of McAlister Kemp’s loyal fan connection.

The album’s first single and title track was released last August and has already hit the top of the Country Charts, as well as claiming a Golden Guitar nomination at the upcoming Country Music Awards of Australia.  Second single ‘Tats’ has also just been released. McAlister Kemp have become a major touring act off the back of their explosive live show and the songs on ‘Harder To Tame’ provide the scope for their grandest live show experience yet.

McAlister Kemp officially launch ‘Harder To Tame’ on the evening of January 25 at Blazes Auditorium following the Country Music Awards of Australia in Tamworth.

Tickets for this show are almost Sold Out!

They will also make two special appearances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in support of the new album release. Those appearances will be official CD signings at Fanzone in Peel Street Tamworth on Wednesday January 22 (2:00pm) and JB HiFi Tamworth on Thursday January 23 (11:00am).

The Harder To Tame National Tour will follow, with dates to be continually announced throughout 2014.

‘Harder To Tame’ will be released in three versions:  the 10 track single CD & Digital album, the Deluxe CD/DVD Edition featuring Music Videos, Live Performances at CMC Rocks The Hunter and footage from McAlister Kemp’s US summer with Big & Rich, and a special collectors Vinyl Record!
