Lucy Durack’s Self Titled Debut Album To Be Released September 28

Lucy Durack has fast become one of Australia’s leading ladies of screen and stage with a list of major roles to her credit, most recently including Glinda the Good Witch in the original Australian cast of the Broadway smash hit musical “Wicked” and Cherry in the highly anticipated feature film Goddess (due for release 2012), and is now adding recording artist to the already extensive list of achievements; an astounding achievement so early in this young performer’s sky rocketing career.

This self titled debut album is a collection of well known, well loved covers of easy listening classics as well as original songs written by Lucy herself, performed with a young, fresh vibrancy. It includes such well known songs as Etta James’s “At Last”, The Beach Boys “God Only Knows”, Martha & The Vandelas “Dancing In The Street” as well as Lucy’s debut single, a stunning cover of the Renee Geyer smash hit “Heading In The Right Direction”. This is a beautifully well crafted album from an exceptional new talent, a ‘must’ for any Michael Bublé or David Campbell fan out there.

In addition to her debut album release, Lucy is about to embark on a lengthy run of performances as the leading role of “ELLE” in “LEGALLY BLONDE – The Musical” which opens at the Lyric Theatre in Sydney from October 4.
