Following her blockbuster show at this year's Tamworth Country Music Festival, singer/songwriter Jasmine Rae will return to Blazes Showroom for her headline festival show on Wednesday January 21, 2015.

Described by acclaimed singer/songwriter Shane Nicholson as "a world-class singer in any genre," Jasmine Rae has had an incredible 12 months. Her latest album 'If I Want To' was nominated for an ARIA Award and three Golden Guitar Awards (including Album of the Year) and it has been one of the highest selling Australian country albums in recent times.

The album's first three singles 'If I Want To,' 'Just Don't Ask Me How I Am' and 'Bad Boys Get Me Good' all topped the Australian Country Charts with the latest single, featuring special guest Kellie Pickler (US), also scoring a Top #20 on the iTunes charts in the USA - a rare feat for an Australian based artist.

Australian music fans also voted Jasmine Rae 2014 CMC Female Oz Artist of the Year at the annual CMC Music Awards.

Jasmine recently toured nationally with Australian country superstar Adam Brand and they recorded the track 'Quit This Time' with him, which appears on his latest ARIA nominated album, 'My Side Of The Street'.

Last weekend, Jasmine Rae completed her tour schedule for this year as one of the headline acts at the Mud Bulls & Music Festival in Queensland.

She is now focused on writing the final couple of songs for a new album she will record in December with Grammy-winning US producer Luke Wooten (Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Kellie Pickler, The Wolfe Brothers), to be released in the first half of 2015.

But before that, Jasmine is today releasing a new single, 'Why'd You Tie The Knot' from the If I Want To album. ”This is the only song on the album that I didn't write. It was actually written by Shannon Wright who I wrote Bad Boys Get Me Good’ with. I watched her perform the song at a songwriter night and just fell in love with it. Months later when it came time to record, I was still hung up about this song… I couldn't get over it… so we got in touch with her again and she was thrilled for me to record it,“ says Jasmine Rae.

The new music video features live footage of Jasmine performing ‘Why’d You Tie The Knot’ with her harmonica during the recent Adam Brand My Side Of The Street national tour.

“This song is so much fun to perform live. Everyone really dug it at the shows. So I guess it’s been the fans response to this song that inspired me to release it as a single,” she says.

Jasmine Rae performs her one and only show at the Tamworth Country Music Festival on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at Blazes Showroom, West Tamworth Leagues with Special Guest Matt Cornell.

Jasmine then heads to South Australia on Australia Day to perform at Adam Brand’s first ever Australian Tailgate Party at the Hahndorf Old Mill, also featuring The Wolfe Brothers and Matt Cornell. You can get tickets now by calling (08) 8388 7888.
