Dean Brody wins big at the 2011 Canadian Country Music Awards

Emerging Canadian Country Music star Dean Brody, has had a huge weekend winning the Album of the Year (Trail in Life), Single of the Year (‘Trail In Life’) and Songwriter of the Year (‘Trail in Life’) awards at the 2011 Canadian Country Music Awards.

Having been fully embraced by the Canadian country music industry since the release of Trail In Life, Brody has spent the most weeks in the #1 spot on the Canadian country radio charts over the past 12 months. He has charted seven Top 10 country radio singles to date.

When performing for the very first time in Australia earlier this year, Dean Brody (who is on the multi award winning Open Road Recordings label in Canada and ABC Music/Universal Music in Australia) demonstrated why he is one of country’s hottest new stars.

When virtually unknown to Australian audiences last March, Brody opened main stage festivities at CMC Rocks The Hunter. He was so impressive that copies of Trail In Life completely SOLD OUT at the venue within 90 minutes of the performance.

Dean Brody’s next Australian single, ‘People Know You By Your First Name’ is serviced to Australian media on September 27.

You can see Dean Brody win big at the Canadian Country Awards on CMC when they broadcast the awards show on September 23 at 8pm. Also performing on the show are recent Gympie Muster headliners Doc Walker, who have just released their latest album 16 & 1 featuring ‘Country Girl’, plus Emerson Drive whose new album Decade of Drive is also out now.

Dean Brody’s latest album Trail in Life is out now through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia
