The Audreys Debut New Animation Video Sometimes The Stars at the Adelaide Film Festival

Sometime time in 2008, in a crowded dressing room after a gig, a plan was hatched to combine the all South Australian talents of The Audreys, Luke Jerevicius and his posse of creative artists, on a animated short film set to an Audrey song.

Fast track to the recording of the title track of The Audreys 3rd album Sometimes The Stars in 2010, and the song for the project was found.

The Audreys need no introduction, and in the film world Luke Jerevicius is somewhat of a leading light in Australian animation, winning 2 AFI Awards for animation and creative excellence. His right and left hand men, Ari Gibson and Jason Pamment were also short listed for Academy Award votingfor the Nick Cave narrated Cat Piano.

The end result is a dark, brooding, gothic tale of a lost girl finding her star. We'll leave you to decide what the metaphors mean.
