ABC Music Publishing has signed Lachlan Bryan, winner of the 2014 Golden Guitar for Best Alternative Country Album for his album “Black Coffee”.
Lachlan Bryan is a Melbourne native whose heart is steeped in the drama and imagery of country, roots and Americana music. A songwriter with true authenticity, Lachlan’s songs are draped with dark characters, back stories, and sub plots flavoured with dustbowl balladry, old school country and nu folk undertones.
Lachlan emerged in 2009 as front man and songwriter for The Wildes, a band that quickly established itself as a unique crossover act between the Melbourne alternative and Tamworth based Australian country music scenes.
The Golden Guitar winner smashed his way up the ARIA Country Charts with the release of “Black Coffee” late last year whilst winning accolades for his song writing. Playing standout performances around Australia, Lachlan has toured with Steve Earle, Paul Thorn and Shawn Colvin and has performed at major festivals including Bluesfest, Apollo Bay, Gympie, The Gumball and extensively across the USA.
“Lachlan Bryan is an extraordinary songwriter. His songs are dark and layered expressions of human frailties and foibles, fragile hopes and possibilities” Susan Jarvis, Capital News.
Lachlan plays CMC Rocks The Hunter, Hope Estate, Hunter Valley on 14 March and The Gumball, Dashville, Hunter Valley on 12 April.
