Justine Clarke Wins ARIA Award for Best Children's Album
Justine Clarke has won the award for Best Children’s Album at the 2018 ARIA Awards, held at The Star on Wednesday, November 28.
ABC Music Publishing has signed Drew McAlister, acclaimed country music songwriter and as part of duo McAlister Kemp, winner of 4 Golden Guitars including for APRA Song Of The Year and Heritage Song of the Year for “Lady of the Land” (co-written with Luke O’Shea) and Best Country Album for “Country Proud”. Countless nominations include twice for APRA Country Song of the Year for “Country Proud” and “Hell Yeah” and an ARIA Awards nomination for “Country Proud” .
As a songwriter, Drew has become the ‘go to’ guy for many top artists who recognise his innate skills with melody and attention to detail which give his songs accessibility and finished quality. Beautifully crafted songs which come straight from the heart and an approach which involves embellishing every idea wholeheartedly have become Drew’s trademark qualities. One of the most sought after collaborators in Australian country music, Drew has co-written with Mike Carr, Tamara Stewart, Luke O’Shea, and Nashville based luminaries, Brian Maher, Brett Jones, Travis Meadows, Jamie Paulin and Dylan Altman.
McAlister Kemp have toured nationally with Alan Jackson and have performed at major festivals including CMC Rocks the Hunter, Gympie Muster, Deni Ute and extensively across the USA.
McAlister Kemp play the Gympie Muster on 29 & 30 August and the Sydney Country Music Festival, Bella Vista on 8 November.
