THE WIGGLES - ROCK & ROLL PRESCHOOL CD out Feb 6

Hot off the heels of their hugely successful arena spectacular Big Show! tour of Australia, The Wiggles are rocking into 2015 with Rock & Roll Preschool, on CD, DVD, at HOYTS Cinema locations as well as a national live tour.

The Rock & Roll Preschool CD & DVD stars special guests; local crooner, TV presenter and recent dad of three, David Campbell, plus famed American actor, Lou Diamond Phillips, who proudly refers to himself as the “Caramel Wiggle” and the “Principal” of Rock & Roll Preschool. See Lou Diamond Phillips hilarious chat re: The Wiggles here on The Project with Carrie Bickmore and Rove McManus.

The CD & DVD offers fun new tracks like That’s the Sound of Rock & Roll, Wake Up!, Dance with Emma, and I Want a Leather Jacket that are guaranteed to get the kids up dancing.

The fab four of the under-fives rock the Preschool CD, DVD and live tour with their favourite friends Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.

The Rock & Roll Preschool tour kicks off in Sydney on March 14 through to July and will give Wiggly little rockers the chance to catch The Wiggles in more intimate venues with a tour of RSL’s, Workers Clubs, Leagues Clubs and smaller Entertainment Centres.  Tour dates are being added daily here.

To celebrate the launch of Rock & Roll Preschool, HOYTS Cinema will also host a special Red Carpet Premiere event on Saturday February 21, at HOYTS Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, Sydney featuring a special visit by The Wiggles and screening of the release. Screenings will run across 44 HOYTS Cinema locations in Australia and New Zealand for three weeks.  Tickets are on sale from February 5, check at hoyts.com.au.

The Wiggles’ TV series Ready, Steady, Wiggle! was a ratings buster last year driving ABC TV to rush release the broadcast of the second series of Ready, Steady, Wiggle!, airing daily on ABC4Kids at 4:25pm.

Anthony (Blue Wiggle), Emma (Yellow Wiggle), Lachy (Purple Wiggle) and Simon (Red Wiggle) have declared the Rock & Roll Preschool is now open and today’s lesson is to have some fun!

About The Wiggles:

After more than 24 years of performing, 7 million albums, 23 million DVDs and 8 million books sold, The Wiggles have performed to millions of fans across the globe. And to put that into perspective, in the past 22 years, The Rolling Stones have done just over a 1000 shows. In the same time, The Wiggles have performed in excess of 6000 shows!

In late 2012, the original all-male Wiggles line-up stepped aside to allow a new cast to take over their kid-errific work. Since then, the world has embraced the new group with open arms and dancing feet.

Since releasing their self-titled album in 1991 the group has wiggled its way to worldwide fame. More than 50 CD and DVD releases later, they have earned 17 x gold, 12 x platinum, 3 x double-platinum, 10 x multi-platinum awards for their music and DVD sales and won 12 x ARIA Awards for Best Children’s Album (making ARIA history as the most awarded ARIA winner in the one category).
