Tim Rogers and You Am I have signed to ABC Music Publishing in a venture that covers Tim’s future song writing and includes publishing rights to iconic You Am I albums Sound As Ever, Hourly Daily and Hi Fi Way as well as the next You Am I studio album.

Considered to be one of Australia’s greatest songwriters, Tim Rogers has fronted You Am I since 1989 and has also released several critically acclaimed solo albums and collaborative records.

You Am I’s place in Australia’s musical and popular culture is unparalleled. Tim Rogers, Andy Kent, Russell Hopkinson and Davey Lane continue to unite sentiments amongst music fans, industry tastemakers and the music media as reflected in consecutive number 1 albums, multiple ARIA awards, triple j’s hottest compiles and greatest Australian albums of all time lists.  Most significantly, You Am I is one of Australia’s most influential bands, consistently cited and lauded by new generations of Australian artists. Their fans’ deep affection for You Am I traverses their timeless songs, revered musicianship and the band’s infectious live sets.

“We’re very happy ABC Music Publishing and Marianna Annas have given a couple of kids a chance” said Tim Rogers of the recent signing.

You Am I released Live Electrified in December 2014, a limited edition vinyl box set including Sound As Ever, Hourly Daily, Hi Fi Way, and a DVD of the live shows which the band toured nationally in 2013.

You Am I play Moomba Festival Moomba, Victoria on 8 March and Kidgeeridge Music Festival, Milton Showgrounds, NSW on 2 May.

Tim Rogers is performing in Melbourne Theatre Company’s What Rhymes With Cars and Girls at the Arts Centre Melbourne until 28 March.
