Bustamento reveals US + CANADA Tour Dates

Intercontinental Journal 7 – Album out now

Nicky Bomba’s BUSTAMENTO returns today with a brand new single from the acclaimed sophomore album ‘Intercontinental Journal 7’. ‘JOSEPHINE’ is the sultry up-tempo tribute to 1920’s & 30’s American-born French entertainer Josephine Baker. The official video dives straight into the heart of 1920’s Paris, placing viewers stage-side at the infamous Casino Le LuWow to watch Josephine on her rise to fame.

Bustamento hit the road earlier this year, taking their infectious vibes to stages around the country & creating a new legion of fans in the process.  The band, which pays homage to the upbeat rhythms of the Caribbean, covers Calypso, Mento, Early Reggae and Ska musical styles all with a definitive international flavour.

The shaking seven-piece outfit will traverse the United States and Canada this June and July, playing a plethora of festivals including California’s Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, the Northern Lights Festival in Boreal Canada, and Vancouver’s annual Folk Festival.

‘Intercontinental Journal 7’ signals an exciting departure from the Carribbean based style of Bustamento’s ARIA-Nominated first album (IntrepidAdventures to the Lost Riddim Islands), and shows the band flexing its creative muscle. A collection of eleven original songs penned by the band and co-produced by Robin Mai (John Butler, Augie March, Blue King Brown) ‘Intercontinental Journal 7’ is a musical mission on a round-the-world adventure of fun and games.
