Craig Campbell Releases 'The Sunshine Club' with seven-time 2013 Golden Guitar Nominee Tory Cassar-Daley
On the eve of his return to Australia to perform at the Tamworth Country Music Festival , current US country hit-maker Craig Campbell has released a brand new track, featuring Australian Country superstar and 2013 CMAA Golden Guitar nominee, Troy Cassar-Daley - who is nominated for seven Golden Guitar awards at next week’s Country Music Awards of Australia.
‘The Sunshine Club,’ written by Cassar-Daley and another great Australian writer Kylie Sackley, appears on the special Tamworth Festival Deluxe Edition of Craig Campbell’s self-titled debut album. This special edition of Craig Campbell is released this Friday through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia.
Craig Campbell first became aware of Troy Cassar-Daley’s considerable talent when he appeared in Australia for the first time at CMC Rocks The Hunter last March. And when Troy visited the US later in the year, he jumped at the opportunity to write and hang out with the multi-ARIA and Golden Guitar winner.
“As soon as I heard Troy's voice over the sound system at CMC Rocks The Hunter, I was a fan! We hooked up later in Nashville and were instant friends and kindred souls. When the opportunity came up to record a song with Troy, I couldn't wait,” says Craig Campbell.
‘The Sunshine Club’ was also produced by Cassar-Daley and is officially serviced to radio stations on January 21.
Craig Campbell and Troy Cassar-Daley will get together to film a special video for ‘The Sunshine Club’ during the Tamworth Country Music Festival and hope to get the opportunity to perform it to fans at some point during the festival.
Craig Campbell’s self-titled debut album features his three US Billboard Hot Country hit singles ‘Family Man’, ‘Fish’ and ‘When I Get It’
His current US single ‘Outta My head’ is currently working its way up the Billboard Country Singles chart and GAC Music Video chart in the US. This follows his success with this other Billboard Hot Country Top 20 hits ‘Family Man’ & ‘Fish.’
All the original album tracks were produced by Keith Stegall, the producer of all of Alan Jackson and the Zac Brown Band’s hit albums.
In 2012, Craig Campbell was nominated in the NEW ARTIST category for SINGLE OF THE YEAR and MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR at the American Country Awards on FOX in Las Vegas.
Craig Campbell plays his first show in Tamworth (with the ARIA Nominated and Golden Guitar winners McAlister Kemp plus 2012 CMC Oz Artist of the Year, Jasmine Rae) this Saturday night at TRECC in Tamworth.
