ABC Jazz receives four nominations at 2015 Australian Jazz Bell Awards

 

ABC Jazz is delighted to have received nominations in four of the seven categories at the prestigious Australian Jazz Bell Awards.

Paul Grabowsky receives two nominations for The Bitter Suite, in the Best Australian Modern Jazz Album and Best Australian Jazz Song of the Year categories. The Bitter Suite has received consistently high acclaim since its release in May 2014, winning the ARIA Award for Best Jazz Album and the AIR Award for Best Independent Jazz Album.

Jazz legend James Morrison is nominated for his new album with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, A to Z of Jazz, recorded live by the ABC in March 2014; and Sarah McKenzie, winner of the 2012 ARIA Award for Best Jazz Album, is nominated for her latest album, We Could Be Lovers, recorded in New York in 2014.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Melbourne on Thursday 30 April 2015.
