James Valentine, beloved afternoon presenter on ABC 702 Sydney, writer, tenor saxophonist and former member of The Models is proud to announce the release his latest CD, The Power and Passion - Standards From the Great Australian Songbook.

Using only the tenor saxophone, the piano, the double bass and the drums, James has had a shot at songs by Midnight Oil, The Divinyls, The Church, The Triffids and Crowded House. He's taken great Australian songs such as ‘The Real Thing’, ‘Flame Trees’, and ‘Throw Your Arms Around Me’, and like his jazz forebears did before him with the tunes of their day, he's played them on his horn.
