Distance Over Time
Paul Greene
'Distance Over Time' is a well compiled works from Greene's first four albums that shows why this artist has the reputation and credibility he has. There are 'first time' studio versions of 'Whole Of The Moon' (a beautiful rendition of The Waterboys track), 'Work Love Dance Trust' 'Some Simplicity' and more of the folk/rock anthems that have seen this artist develop into one of the countries best kept secrets.
'Distance Over Time' as the title suggests maps the journey that took this artist from the open mic nights of Kings Cross and inner Sydney, to circumnavigating the continent numerous times. After a decade of hard touring, Greene started gaining more mainstream attention, gracing the stage with and winning the respect of luminaries such as Ani Difranco, Rob Hirst (Midnight Oil). Greg Arnold (Things Of Stone And Wood) and Grammy nominated Patty Griffin. Musically, Greene is essentially a Roots artist, but traverses elements of Folk, Soul, and Rock with even a hint of Country at times.
